LCDR Garret Hand currently serves at NMRTC Rota. He previously served at NMRTC Corpus Christi as the Director of Clinical Support Services and Department head for Pharmacy. Prior to that assignment he served as Assistant Department Head at Naval Medical Center Camp Lejeune, and clinical pharmacist and staff outpatient pharmacist at Naval Branch Health Clinic Groton. He has also served aboard the USNS Comfort for Continuing Promise 2015. Currently appointed as a senior officer on the Navy Pharmacy Advisory Board (NPAB). Prior appointments include as a junior officer for NPAB and as the MHS Genesis Navy Pharmacy Functional Community Lead. He Holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado, and Bachelors of Arts and Doctor of Pharmacy from the the University of Hawaii Hilo. His personal awards include a Meritorious Service Medal, two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and one Navy Marine Corp Achievement Medal.
