Jason Lavender, Ph.D.
Dr. Jason Lavender is the Deputy Research Director for the Military Cardiovascular Outcomes Research Program (MiCOR) with the Metis Foundation and the Department of Medicine at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. He completed his undergraduate education at Duke University and received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University at Albany, State University of New York. He then completed a T32 postdoctoral fellowship in eating disorders research at the Neuropsychiatric Research Institute. Dr. Lavender's research focuses on biopsychosocial factors involved in the onset, maintenance, and treatment of eating and weight disorders among individuals across the age spectrum. He also has particular interests in the unique factors associated with disordered eating behaviors and attitudes among males.
