True North + Course - Gen Z and Mental Health. Now What?

One of the Air Force's primary objectives is to optimize the health and human performance of installation operational units through direct support from medical assets and strength and conditioning coaches. True North Plus is a multidisciplinary team of medical personel with expertise related to mitigation of military occupation related physical and psychological stressors. The course will provide instruction on how to wok in an integrated environment which will include building relationships, conducting unit-level needs assessments, integrating into high risk squadrons, commander consultation and intervention.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for social workers and psychologists across the Military Health System (MHS). A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Compare and contrast the basic characteristics of Gen Z with those of previous generations, identifying at least three unique health-related traits and explaining their implications for workplace support.
  2. Justify a recommended intervention strategy for a Gen Z employee experiencing "failure to thrive" using evidence from the "Way Forward" section and unit performance data.

Social workers completing this course receive 1.00 Clinical continuing education credits.
