ForwardGuardian Resilience Team (GRT) Licensed Mental Health Provider Summit
Members from the Guardian Resilience Team (GRT) Licensed Mental Health Provider (LMHP) Community are invited to join the Director of Psychological Health for the US Space Force for a two-day Summit. The Summit will be the first time bringing together all the members who serve in this unique role supporting Guardians at the operational edge beyond the four walls of our medical group clinics. This meeting will serve to establish foundations that each practitioner can employ at their location to ensure that all are equipped to maintain military mental health standards, understand regulations and responsibilities, and ensure seamless warfighter readiness across the service. This will also serve as an opportunity to build relationships and networks with peers who can share their best practices and lessons learned with one another moving forward.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for psychologists and social workers across the Military Health System (MHS). A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Identify key military mental health regulations, standards, and responsibilities relevant to supporting Guardians across the U.S. Space Force.
- Apply evidence-based practices and available resources to support mental health readiness in operational and geographically dispersed settings.
- Analyze common challenges and successful strategies for delivering mental health services to Guardians beyond traditional medical group clinics.
- Develop collaborative approaches and strategies to strengthen professional networks, share best practices, and promote consistency across Guardian Resilience Teams.
Course summary
- 10.25 APA
Continuing Education (CE) credits for psychologists are provided through the co-sponsorship of the American Psychological Association (APA) Office of Continuing Education in Psychology (CEP). The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. Participants may earn 10.25 CE credits for completing this activity.
- 10.25 ASWB
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, DHA J7 CEPO is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 10.25 Clinical continuing education credits.
