- Summarize the process of tissue differentiation when assessing range of motion (ROM) loss.
- Mitigate complications from fluid shifts and edema with edema management interventions, to include compression and elevation
- Identify burn depth and calculate burn size.
- Apply acquired knowledge to perform burn wound debridement.
- Explain how to provide burn shock resuscitation fluids in a safe and effective manner preventing under and over resuscitation.
- Articulate the characteristics unique to OT services provided to those with major limb loss in a military treatment facility.
- Summarize the six stages of the Progressive Return to Activity (PRA).
- Discuss the different phases of rehabilitation process of the lower limb amputee.
- Describe the two types of wound healing and their relevance to contracture.
- Discuss important biomechanic principles and their applicability to tissue lengthening.
