Pharmacogenomics Education Series: How to Implement Pharmacogenomics into Medication Management (Module 3)

This four-part pharmacogenomics (PGx) education series aims to build a strong foundational understanding of how genetic variation influences drug efficacy, safety, and tolerability, while reinforcing core concepts such as gene–drug interactions, metabolizer phenotypes, and clinically actionable genetic results. Using applied examples and case-based learning, lessons explore assessing patients who can benefit from PGx testing, interpreting patient PGx reports, integrating evidence-based guidance, and considering patient-specific factors to optimize therapy.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for case managers, dentists and allied dental staff, nurses, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, physician assistants/physician associates (PAs), physicians, and psychologists across the Military Health System (MHS). A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
