Christina Ramirez, M.D., FACOG, FACS

Lt Col (Dr.) Christina Ramirez is the Flight Commander for Gynecologic Surgery and Obstetrics (GS&O) within the Fort Sam Houston Surgical Operations Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston and serves as the Division Chief of Urogynecology-Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS) at Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC). Her clinical leadership experience also: Surgical Director of the BAMC Simulation Center and Site Director for the Obstetrics and Gynecology Medical Student Core Clerkship.
Dr. Ramirez is an Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University (USU) and serves as Core Faculty for the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium (SAUSHEC) GS&O Residency Program. She has been honored with several prestigious accolades, including the SAUSHEC Best Clinical Faculty Educator Award (2025), the SAUSHEC Outstanding Faculty in Gynecology Resident Teaching Award (2022), and the ACOG Armed Forces District Mentor of the Year Award (2021). She holds board certifications with the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists with a focused practice designation in MIGS and the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Ramirez was a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. She earned her medical degree from Harvard Medical School, GS&O residency training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, and fellowship training in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at University of Pittsburgh.
