This live, in-person event will aid in the examination and prevention of dental health issues with the pediatric patient.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for MHS dentists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe the components of a comprehensive pediatric oral examination
  2. Apply Association of Pediatric Program Directors (AAPD) radiograph selection guidelines by age and caries risk
  3. Implement evidence-based prevention: fluoride, sealants, and diet counseling
  4. Deliver developmentally appropriate anticipatory guidance across age groups
  5. Identify when pediatric specialty referral is indicated
