48th Dental Squadron: Pediatric Dentistry Exam and Prevention Essentials: For the General Practitioner
This live, in-person event will aid in the examination and prevention of dental health issues with the pediatric patient.

Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for MHS dentists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Describe the components of a comprehensive pediatric oral examination
- Apply Association of Pediatric Program Directors (AAPD) radiograph selection guidelines by age and caries risk
- Implement evidence-based prevention: fluoride, sealants, and diet counseling
- Deliver developmentally appropriate anticipatory guidance across age groups
- Identify when pediatric specialty referral is indicated
