Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for social workers and psychologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss the limits of ethics codes in defining ethical behavior.
  2. Examine the relationship of ethics codes to other systems that govern behavior.
  3. Apply one’s professional code of ethics to resolve an ethical dilemma.
  4. Summarize how politicized environments may affect writing ethical guidelines.
  5. Relate in a professionally assertive fashion to leaders on appropriate COA’s and ethical issues.
  6. Explain how to work ethically and effectively outside of a medical unit to improve mission effectiveness.

The APA CEP Office maintains responsibility for the content of the programs. Participants may earn 3.00 CE credits for completing this activity.

    As a Jointly Accredited Organization, DHA J7 CEPO is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program. Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. Social workers completing this course receive 3.00 Ethics continuing education credits.
