Research Overview for Dieticians
This course provides a foundational look at the dietitian’s role in the research landscape. Participants will explore the core steps of the research process, including crafting a strong research question and choosing an appropriate study design. Beyond the basics, the course highlights practical ways for dietitians to get involved in research and identifies key resources for locating high-quality scientific literature to support evidence-based practice.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physician associates/physician assistants, registered dieticians, dietetic technicians, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, physical therapist assistants, physical therapist assistants, project management professionals across the Military Health System (MHS). A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

- Explain where dietitians can find scientific literature to support evidence-based practice.
