The following are a list of reasons that your application may be denied for CE/CME support or sent back for revisions:
- Any conflicts of interests:
- Bias to a particular product - not meeting Fair Balance
- Evidence that commercial support has been received for the CE/CME Activity
- Presenter does not meet the criteria to offer CE/CME—(please review the section entitled, “Required Presenting Faculty and Content Reviewer Credentials” in the CE Activity Development Guidance Document for more information)
- Incomplete CE/CME submission materials (refer to the CE Activity Development Guidance Document):
- Title must be compelling and meaningful
- Learning objectives are not a reflection of the educational content (please review the section in the CE Activity Guidance Document entitled, “CE/CME Material Requirement” for further guidance on creating Learning Objectives)
- Key takeaways not provided
- References older than the past five years, unless historically significant
- Images and charts are not cited properly
- Clearance not obtained from the Public Affairs Office
- CE/CME materials submitted did not meet the Accreditation Organization submission deadline
- Missing Content Review Forms: presentation content has not been reviewed by a Subject Matter Expert (SME) independent of the planning and development of the activity/presentation – (please review the section entitled, “Required Presenting Faculty and Content Reviewer Credentials” in the CE Activity Development Guidance Document for more information)
- Prior history of noncompliance with CE/CME requirements
