Dr. Kristan E. (Betsy) Madison is a board-certified pediatrician and Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Navy. She received her undergraduate degree in Biological Science from the University of Notre Dame, her medical degree (cum laude) from Georgetown University School of Medicine, and holds a Master's degree in Physiology from Georgetown University. She completed her pediatric residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. She also is board certified in Obesity Medicine and Lifestyle Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at USU and is currently involved in pediatric obesity research, including addressing obesity in military-connected children. She is the current Director of the Walter Reed Healthy Habits Clinic, further demonstrating her commitment to the health and well-being of children and families.
