Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for: physicians, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, dentists, dental hygienists, dental technicians, and healthcare executives. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Describe DHA’s mission, vision and priorities.
- Model behaviors and apply strategies that foster a culture of respect for people and duty to speak up for staff, patients, and families.
- Recall Defense Medical Human Resources System-internet (DMHRSi) concepts and how it impacts the Military Treatment Facility (MTF).
- Examine five conflict behaviors.
- Recall analytics and evolution’s role in data-driven decision making.
- Describe legal considerations that impact the daily operations of a Network or MTF in accordance with applicable federal health laws and Department of War (DoW) policies.
- Describe strategic communications concepts involving media engagement.
- Describe where and how DHA Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) drives strategy.
- Describe how each of the Common Elements of change impacts the outcome of your change efforts.
- Identify the Mission Statement and the Responsibilities of Deputy Assistant Director – Financial Operations (DAD-FO/J8).
- Describe how the Military Health System’s (MHS) new electronic health record, MHS GENESIS, standardizes clinical and business processes across the services and the MHS enterprise.
- Identify key measures of Access to Care performance and relate the measure to MTF operations.
- Explore the “what” and “why” of change management using 5 tenets.
- Describe coaching in the workplace and its benefits.

This activity is designated for 18.50 hours of AAPA Category 1 CME credits. Approval is valid until Friday, March 6, 2026 - 11:59pm ET. PAs should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation.

DHA, J-7, CEPO is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing education. ACCME Non-Physician CME Credit providers will be provided a certificate of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Participants in this program who wish to have the continuing education hours applied toward ACHE Qualified Education credit must self-report their participation. To self-report, participants must log into their MyACHE account and select ACHE Qualified Education Credit.

In support of improving patient care, DHA, J-7, CEPO is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the health care team. This activity was planned by and for the healthcare team, and learners will receive 18.50 Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE) credits for learning and change.
Requirements: CE/CME certificates are awarded to participants who fully complete the activity, successfully submit the evaluation survey, and pass the posttest. The deadline to claim credit is Mar 6, 2026.
