Military Medical and Dental Treatment Facility- Chief Medical Officer, Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Dental Officer -100 Level Training
This course offers training for Military Medical/Dental Treatment Facility (MTF/DTF) Chief Medical Officers (CMO) / Chief Nursing Officers (CNO) / Chief Dental Officers (CDO) who are either new to their positions or are anticipating entering the role within the next 6-8 months. Training will consist of plenary and breakout sessions addressing such topics as leadership development and teamwork, ready reliable care, clinical quality management, clinical outcomes, healthcare operations, financial and manpower overviews, legal considerations, and best practices. The curriculum is packed with operational tools and learning objectives to move DHA forward and set the new CMOs/CNOs/CDOs up for success. This is a training event held live utilizing virtual tools and not a conference.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, dentists, dental hygienists, and dental technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Differentiate between key responsibilities of the CMO/CNO/CDO at DHA HQ, DHNs, and MTFs.
- Identify areas for improved communication between CMOs/CNOs/CDOs at DHA HQ, DNHs, and MTFs.
- Comprehend and interpret Ready Reliable Care.
- Explain the different focus areas withing Clinical Quality Management and identify the quality care metrics that drive the DHN/MTF practices.
- Describe healthcare operations metrics driving DHN/MTF business rules.
- Summarize the manpower models and financial management of the DHN/MTF.
- Recognize the leadership and personality traits within yourself and your colleagues to build and develop relationships.
- Create a high-performance culture and organization.
- Comprehend the mission, vision, and priorities of the DHA.
