48th Dental Squadron: Temporomandibular Joint Disorder and Orofacial Pain – Part 1

This live, in-person course will address “Temporomandibular Joint Disorder and Orofacial Pain” to support the dental providers with the 48th Dental Squadron. This course will include a lecture, discussion and hands-on exposure to the field of orofacial pain.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for dentists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Describe the anatomy and physiology of the temporomandibular joint disorder (TMJ) and supporting structures.
  2. Diagnose muscle and joint derangements.
  3. Utilize a protocol for initial exams to aid in accurate diagnosis.
