Suicide Prevention: Risk Evaluation and Prevention
An overview of suicide prevention topics relevant to clinical practice. It will include current and upcoming changes to clinical suicide prevention policy, suicide screening recommendations, Common Cause Analysis findings, current TJC guidelines, DHA inspection findings, and the 2024 VA/DoD Clinical Practice Guidelines for suicide prevention. Additionally, the session will provide an overview of the tiered Postvention Response System policy that is being rolled out across the military. The interactive session will provide an opportunity for clinicians to raise questions and challenges with adherence to policy requirements.
