Maxillofacial Restoration Conference (MFRC)| Management of Trismus and TMF Trauma: Nutrition, Rolfing, and Surgery
Introducing the virtual DoD Maxillofacial Restoration Conference (MFRC) to learn about innovative capabilities and expertise within the maxillofacial restoration specialty across the Defense Health Agency (DHA) enterprise. Maxillofacial Restoration is a process to restore the patient to health following management of congenital, pathologic, or traumatic conditions of the oral cavity, face, head, neck, and/or jaws through training, therapy, and/or procedures coordinated across nine integrated clinical care pathways. MFRC grand rounds style discussions include in-depth case reviews to inform stakeholders about enterprise and localized treatment modalities and expertise. This forum will expand engagement with clinical stakeholders in maxillofacial restoration and associated disciplines to enhance patient care and outcomes while advancing education/training, research, and future capabilities. MFRC target audience includes all impacted disciplines (examples include OMFS, prosthodontics, dentistry, plastic surgery, oncology care team, speech therapy, PT, OT, ENT, nursing, and others) across the DHA enterprise, plus Military Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) Directors, and Defense Health Network and MTF Chief Medical, Nursing, and Dental Officers. MFRC case presentations meet all qualifications for Privacy Act and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act compliance.
