Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for registered dieticians and dietetic technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify key challenges and potential solutions for performance nutrition in the deployed environment.
  2. Describe the role and responsibilities of the Nutrition Section in a military field hospital including patient and staff feeding, equipment management and utilization of assigned personnel.
  3. Discuss the roles RD/RDNs play in a broad range of missions including peace operations, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief.
