Nutrition Operations in the Deployed Environment
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for registered dieticians and dietetic technicians. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Identify key challenges and potential solutions for performance nutrition in the deployed environment.
- Describe the role and responsibilities of the Nutrition Section in a military field hospital including patient and staff feeding, equipment management and utilization of assigned personnel.
- Discuss the roles RD/RDNs play in a broad range of missions including peace operations, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief.
