True North+: How to Communicate with Gen Z-Listening Might Be a Good Start

May 8, 2025

Program Description

This workshop provides training to mental health providers (psychologists, social workers, and mental health technicians) who will be providing embedded care and consultation to operational Air Force squadrons across the Air Force. This is an initiative that is being pushed by the surgeon general of the Air Force and pulled by the Line commanders who will receive the services. The training will be conducted in person at the 711th Human Performance Wing at Wright-Patterson AFB. When reviewing the data on who cannot deploy, mental health and musculoskeletal injuries are the leading factors. Training providers on how to mitigate some of the problems in the unit will decrease the need for medical care and time away from their units and increase the overall readiness of the unit. The workshop will be conducted on a quarterly basis.
