Program Description

This course is designed primarily for New DHA Facility Managers with an introduction to the various topics required to successfully manage a DHA Medical Treatment Facility.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for healthcare executives. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Identify the Major Roles and Responsibilities for a Facilities Manager (FM) within the DHA.
  2. Identify the key roles and responsibilities of a Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization Portfolio Manager (SRM-PM).
  3. Identify the life cycle stages of a FM Requirements Package.
  4. Identify the FMs role in DMLSS/LogiCole.
  5. Understand the operation and maintenance of various building mechanical systems to include the required preventative maintenance intervals.
  6. Understand the fundamentals of Facility Accreditation & Compliance.

    By attending this program offered by DHA, J-7, CEPO, participants may earn up to 14.00 American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) Qualified Education hours toward initial certification or recertification of the Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE) designation. Participants in this program who wish to have the continuing education hours applied toward ACHE Qualified Education credit must self-report their participation. To self-report, participants must log into their MyACHE account and select ACHE Qualified Education Credit.
