USAF Physical Therapy Advanced Course – March 2025
Program Description:
This course provides training for USAF 42B (Physical Therapists) required by the Comprehensive Medical Readiness Program (CMRP). This multi-day course incorporates the most current evidence and best practices in the comprehensive management of neuromusculoskeletal (NMSK) injuries utilizing a combination of didactic and hands-on skills training. Additionally, this course enables Physical Therapists to provide evaluation and management of mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI) consistent with Joint Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (JKSA) requirements. The course provides training in Prolonged Casualty Care (PCC) skills that will be required by 42Bs in combat environments (wound care, burn care, fracture management). Finally, the course also trains Physical Therapists in Human Performance Optimization (HPO) knowledge and skills that are applicable both in garrison and in combat environments.
