Jennifer Ulbricht, Ph.D.
Jennifer Ulbricht, Ph.D., completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville and moved to DC to attend the George Washington University for graduate school. She earned her Ph.D. in Clinical and Community Psychology following training experiences in hospital, school, and clinic settings across the DC area. She completed her APA-approved internship at Florida State University, gaining more experience in school-based behavioral health and diagnostic assessment of disorders such as ADHD and Autism. Dr. Ulbricht moved to Baltimore to complete a two-year LEND postdoctoral fellowship at Kennedy Krieger Institute/Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she received further training in Autism and diagnostic assessment of neurodevelopmental disabilities. Throughout her education, she valued working in collaborative teams and learned much from colleagues across disciplines.
Following postdoc, Dr. Ulbricht joined the Military Health System and spent 10 years as the Service Chief for the outpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Service at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital (now A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center) in Virginia. While at FBCH, she continued her work in psychodiagnostic assessment and child/family therapy while leading a multidisciplinary team in providing care to military families. Dr. Ulbricht collaborated across services for program development including school-based behavioral health, primary care behavioral health, and Autism Diagnostic Clinic.
She joined DHA’s Behavioral Health Clinical Management Team at DHHQ in July 2023, stepping in as the Program Lead for Child and Family Behavioral Health. Dr. Ulbricht is currently working with other leaders to integrate Child and Family Behavioral Health programs across Navy, Army, and Air Force into a cohesive, standardized DHA program that will continue supporting military families through clinic services, school-based behavioral health, primary care consultation, and training in evidence-based practices.
