Dr. Claire Hoffmire is an Epidemiologist at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Rocky Mountain Mental Illness Research Education and Clinical Center for Suicide Prevention. She is also an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. Dr. Hoffmire’s research aims to inform evidence-based suicide prevention programming for Veterans, with a focus on improving upstream, public-health oriented suicide prevention for historically underserved Veterans, such as women Veterans and Veterans not engaged in VA healthcare.
