Meki Bocage, M.S.N, B.S.N., N.C.

Air Force Maj. Meki L. Bocage is the Chief of the Virtual Education Center in the Education and Training (J7) Directorate at the Defense Health Agency (DHA). Prior to her current position, Maj. Bocage was the DHA, Education and Training (J7) Fellow, supporting a $64 million-dollar joint directorate in bolstering policy development and project management for the $52 billion-dollar Medical Health System. Furthermore, she supported 584 personnel within five divisions and guided 21 Direct Reporting Markets, Small Market and Stand-Alone Military Medical Treatment Facility Organization and two Defense Health Agency Regions through MHS reform, thus impacting 146,000 medical staff members. She has served in various assignments in both the inpatient and ambulatory settings as a Clinical Nurse, three-time Flight Commander and fellow at the squadron, group, and Headquarters Air Force levels.
She is a prior enlisted non-commissioned officer selected for commissioning through the Nurse Enlisted Commission Program. She attained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from William Carey University.
Maj. Bocage has been awarded the Air Force Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal with 5 oak leaf clusters and the Air Force Achievement Medal with 2 oak leaf clusters. In 2020, she received the U.S. Air Force Outstanding Achievement in Nursing Force Development Award. In 2021, she was awarded the Pacific Air Forces Clinical Excellence in Nursing Award-Field Grade Officer, the 36th Wing Field Grade Officer of the Year and the Team Andersen Field Grade Officer of the Year.
