Lt Col Clark serves as the Chief, Nutritional Medicine Clinical Support Service (NMCSS) at the Defense Health Agency Headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia. She advises the Deputy Assistant Director for Medical Affairs on policy development, care pathways, projects and initiatives relative to Nutritional Medicine care and services at 49 hospitals and 465 clinics worldwide, impacting care for 9.6 million Tri-Service beneficiaries, and supporting the Military Health System transformation into a High Reliability Organization. Lt Col Clark partners with the 11 Clinical Communities and other clinical and administrative leadership to drive process improvement, improve patient safety, and to track trends, address concerns, and bolster multidisciplinary collaboration, integrating the practice and profession of nutrition and dietetics into the fabric of military medicine. She actively collaborates with the Air Force, Army and Navy Service Consultants for Nutrition, incorporating innovations in research, technology, clinical practice, resource and human capital management, to advocate for nutrition professionals and support nutrition care across the Department of Defense.

Lt Col Clark entered the USAF in 1998 to participate in the US Military Dietetic Internship. Over her 24-year Air Force career, she has provided nutrition care in diverse settings, from outpatient health promotion to inpatient intensive care. Lt Col Clark has served in leadership positions as Branch Chief and Flight Commander in both deployed and in-garrison settings. She was the lead Air Force faculty member in the US Military Graduate Program in Nutrition at Ft Sam Houston, Texas and she deployed in 2005 and 2014 in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM. She served as the Nutritional Medicine Flight Commander at David Grant Medical Center (DGMC), Travis AFB, CA, while also serving as Air Mobility Command Consultant Dietitian; and for 2 years as Executive Director of the Travis AFB Fisher House. Prior to her current position, Lt Col Clark was Commander, 30th Operational Medical Readiness Squadron, Vandenberg Space Force Base, California, where she led a 98 member squadron comprised of 9 flights, in the execution of healthcare to an installation population of 13,000; overseeing a budget of $5.8M in support of the intercontinental ballistic, space lift and ISR missions. Lt Col Clark has published articles pertaining to military dietetics, eating behaviors and weight, and nutrition student success.

Lt Col Clark grew up in Indiana and has been married for 25 years to her husband Michael A. Clark (Mike); they have two children, Emily M. Clark (25 yrs) and Michael A. Clark II (21 yrs).
