Gabrina Dixon, MD, MEd
Dr. Gabrina Dixon is a pediatric hospitalist attending at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. She is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, Washington, DC. She enjoys being able to teach fellows, residents and medical students about general pediatrics and pediatric hospital medicine. Due to her love of teaching, Dr. Dixon received a Master of Arts in Education from George Washington University in 2018. In addition to her regular responsibilities, she is the associate director of medical education responsible for directing Howard University medical students’ inpatient rotation at Children’s National. She is also the director of Advancing Diversity in Academic Pediatrics (ADAP), a program at Children’s National aimed to increase medical students underrepresented in medicine to pursue academic pediatrics. Her research interests include diversity, equity and inclusion, and bias in academic medicine.
