Army Capt. John Eric M. Novosel-Lingat, Ph.D., M.Ed., currently serves as the Deputy Director for the Research Transition Office (RTO) at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research (WRAIR), with assigned responsibilities as Liaison Officer to the Army Resilience Directorate (ARD). CPT Novosel-Lingat is a doctoral graduate of the Educational, School, and Counseling Psychology Department at the University of Kentucky (UKY). He was awarded his undergraduate and masters degree from the American University in Washington, D.C., where he taught as adjunct faculty in the School of Education, Teaching, and Health. He has completed professional development programs for instructional coaching at Teachers College, Columbia University and data inquiry for continuous improvement at the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Currently, he is pursuing a certificate in positive psychology at the University of Pennsylvania. CPT Novosel-Lingat provides subject matter expertise in individual and collective psychological assessment, evaluation, and measurement and brings experience in applied research design, curriculum development, and instructional leadership. Prior to becoming a military research psychologist, he served as a public school teacher in the District of Columbia. CPT Novosel-Lingat is a Master Resilience Trainer (8R) and is in training for the Acquisitions (8X) additional skill identifier. He has conducted research missions with units at Fort Bliss, Fort Campbell, Fort Carson, Fort Hood, Fort Riley, Fort Polk, Joint Base Langley-Eustis, and Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall, in Vicenza, Italy, and with the Florida and South Carolina National Guard. CPT Novosel-Lingat is a member of the American Psychological Association, Society of Military Psychology, and AMSUS, the Society of Federal Health Professionals.
