Ms. Karen Rader, RN, is a retired USAF Colonel with 30 years of civilian and military nursing experience. Prior to coming back to Texas she was the Chief Nurse Executive at Keesler Medical Center in Mississippi.  Her nursing background includes the Emergency Room, Medical/Surgical nursing, Operating Room, Flight Nurse and various outpatient areas.  She is currently employed as part of the Diabetes Outreach Team in the Diabetes Center of Excellence at JBSA-Lackland AFB TX where she participates in assessing, developing and implementing programs and tools for use throughout DOD and the Veterans Administration.
