Chin Hee Kim, M.D., F.A.C.P., C.H.C.Q.M.
Dr. Chin Hee Kim is a physician leader in the Clinical Quality Improvement Program at the Defense Health Agency who partners with clinicians, executives, and improvement advisors to strategically align, prioritize, and implement value based improvement initiatives. After graduating from Yale and Penn State College of Medicine, Dr. Kim completed her internal medicine and chief residency training at George Washington University. She then spent the next decade working as a hospitalist leader and educator at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center before joining DHA in 2018. Dr. Kim continues to remain clinically active and believes that engaging and motivating both providers and clinicians are key to achieving superior outcomes that matter to patients. Dr. Kim is both locally and nationally accomplished clinician recognized for excellent patient outcomes, superior patient satisfaction, and contribution to medical education as noted by her publication as a Top Hospitalist by the American College of Physicians in 2017. Dr. Kim recently earned her formal certification in healthcare quality management through the American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians and is committed to supporting the DHA transition by standardizing clinical care processes that will ultimately drive innovations and efficiencies to benefit our military healthcare system.
