Pain: Is It Really That Complicated? 30-SEP-2020
September 30, 2020
Program Description
The goal of this presentation is to educate inpatient and outpatient nursing staff on pathophysiology of pain and subsequent management. This pain management course is one of the joint commission national patient safety goals. Many shortfalls in pain assessment and treatment persist despite familiarity with the subject. The lack of appreciation for its complexity and the diversity of its effects that any one person may have during an acute or chronic episode is why there is an ongoing need for education on this topic.
