Resources and Adjuncts for Bleeding Management in Surgical and Operative Settings
Confident management of bleeding in both restorative and surgical settings is key to positive patient outcomes. While countless methods, techniques, and materials exist to aid in bleeding management, much is often unknown of the products being sold, or the effectiveness of the principles being taught. This course is designed to not only identify several materials and adjuncts used to achieve hemostasis, but to expound on their underlying mechanisms, functions, and effectiveness. Additionally, it is designed to serve as an aid and a reference to general dentists searching for additional means to managing bleeding, or as a litmus test against current methods employed in these settings to ensure that optimal outcomes are achieved and that their knowledge of the materials utilized remains current.
