PHCoE's Military Psychology Health Research Dissemination Series-Sleep Disorder Symptoms and Suicidal Urges Among US Marines Seeking Suicide Treatment: Findings from an Intensive Daily Assessment Study

Program Description: 

The PHCoE’s Military Psychological Health Research Dissemination Series is a platform to present impactful studies and aims to share cutting-edge research and innovative practices in military psychology and mental health. A presentation highlighting a research study will be presented monthly, via MS Teams, to an interdisciplinary audience.

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, social workers, psychologists, athletic trainers, registered dieticians, dietetic technicians, certified counselors, kinesiotherapists, healthcare executives, physical therapists, and physical therapist assistants. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

  1. Describe the time-course of suicidal ideation.
  2. Understand predictors of change in suicidal ideation over time.
  3. Summarize clinical implications for assessment of sleep and suicide risk in Marines.
