LTES MAY: Updates to the VA DoD Rehabilitation of Lower Limb Amputation CPG (2025)

Program Description: 

This presentation provides an overview of the January 2025 Veterans Health Agency (VHA) and Defense Health Agency (DHA) updates to the 2017 Clinical Practice Guideline for the Rehabilitation of Individuals with Lower Limb Amputation. These updates include eight new recommendations for clinicians covering surgical intervention, pain management, and prosthetic selection.

 

Target Audience

This activity provides continuing education for: physicians, nurses, kinesiotherapists, physical therapists, and physical therapist assistants. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.

Learning Objectives

  1. Discuss the development of KSAs for the clinical specialties, PM&R, PT, OT, Prosthetist, and Orthotist.
  2. Convert KSAs to clinician assessment tools applicable to their facilities.
  3. Identify clinician training requirements based on assessment.
