Dental Management of Patients with Autism Spectrum Disorder: Evidence Based Strategies for Inclusive Care
This 1.00 CE live virtual training is designed for AEGD residents and general dentists at Nellis AFB. This continuing education lecture reviews the dental management of patients with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) using evidence-based strategies for inclusive care. These challenges are addressed through strategies such as pre-appointment planning, environmental and behavioral modifications, desensitization techniques, and sedation considerations, while emphasizing the importance of caregiver involvement and interprofessional collaboration to support holistic care for patients with ASD.
