DEMO: IPCE Grand Rounds
Program Description
Despite their qualification to do so, most SERE psychologists will not participate in real-world reintegration events. As a result, they often have gaps in knowledge and experience relating to real-world reintegration events. This educational activity will provide the participants the opportunity to analyze and evaluate recent real-world personnel recovery efforts in accordance with best practices and industry standards.
Target Audience
This activity provides continuing education for psychologists. A certificate of attendance is available for other attendees.
Learning Objectives
- Identify lessons learned by SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) psychologists involved in a recent Post-Isolation Support Activity (PISA).
- Describe interagency considerations for SERE psychologists who support personnel recovery events within the US Government.
- Review important considerations for personnel recovery events that involve short-fused mission notification and multiple returnees.
- Summarize foundational psychological principles that should guide SERE psychologists during any real-world reintegration event.
