Program DescriptionThis on-site course is conducted biannually at one of various Military Treatment Facility sites. The course is designed to provide a beyond entry level introduction to orthopaedic medicine, covering four of the 65D Individual Critical Task Lists which include treating traumatic pelvic injury, extremity fractures, crush injury, and traumatic wound.

Program Description: Targeted Sensory Reinnervation (TSR) which, in combination with a non-invasive vibrotactile device, effectively treats or prevents phantom limb pain. The loss of a limb is a life-changing event and affects the ability to move, work, interact with others and maintain independence. Ongoing pain, painful phantom limb phenomena and emotional trauma can complicate recovery.

Program Description: This course is offered in support of continuous process improvement (CPI) training requirements across the Defense Health Agency (DHA). Conducted by Lean Six Sigma (LSS) Master Black Belts and Black Belts, the course will be offered at a minimum of approximately once per month with flexibility in dates to accommodate MTF operational commitments, facility events, and personnel activities, which may impact the number of attendees. The course will be offered primarily in a virtually setting and developed for 6-12 participants.

Program Description: This workshop will provide training to mental health providers (psychologists, social workers and mental health technicians) who will be providing embedded care and consultation to operational Air Force squadrons across the Air Force. This is an initiative that is being pushed by the surgeon general of he Air Force and pulled by the Line commanders who will receive the services. The training will be conducted in person at the 711th Human Performance Wing at Wright-Patterson AFB.
